The City of Scientists was founded by Professor Fousek for the purpose of capturing and studying Nonsense. Its remote location high in the mountains meant the dangerous research did not threaten the surrounding cities. Although a Tubular attractor held the angry and destructive Nonsense within its force field, any malfunction or power outage resulted in their escape. The city only truly flourished after the brilliant discovery of Book Catchers, which were capable of safely trapping the most dangerous Nonsense. And it was for this very purpose that Professor Fousek bred Monster, which produced a trapping slime that was irresistible to Nonsense. A magnificent library was built to store the Catchers, and the thriving city became a hub for the study of all major scientific fields. Placing the slime inside books allows for the viewing of captured Nonsense while also eliminating the risk of the slime reacting with matter to create Physics storms.
